As an Access Control Officer at a Distribution Center, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue and track badges, and support visitor and staff check-in. You will monitor alarms and access activity, complete routine patrols, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to guests, staff, vendors, and/or contractors while following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements at a cultural institution location.
- Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems and report irregular activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns per post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site leadership and/or emergency responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of public areas, galleries, back-of-house spaces, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
