Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrol rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist with badges as needed, and communicate clearly with team members, drivers, and onsite staff. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting activities per site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout warehouses, loading areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points for employees, drivers, and visitors, verifying credentials, directing traffic flow, and following established check-in and/or check-out procedures.
  • Operate site security-related systems and communications tools, including radios, visitor logs, and alarm or camera monitoring, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as needed.
