About The Position

As a Security Officer in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, supporting a secure environment for all on site. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points and report any suspicious activity or unauthorized entry to the appropriate personnel.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site contacts to support security-related objectives.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols relevant to the location, especially those related to the aerospace and defense environment.
