About The Position

As a Security Officer - Automotive CCTV Monitor in West Point, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Security Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and provide customer service with clear communication to team members and visitors. Requirements

  • Prefer candidates who are comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access to the location by screening visitors, issuing badges, verifying appointments, and directing foot and vehicle traffic according to post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems and document observations, unusual activity, and maintenance issues requiring follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and unauthorized entry attempts, and request assistance from appropriate responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Support vehicle and transportation operations by checking inbound and outbound trucks, confirming shipping and receiving paperwork as directed, and reporting discrepancies through the chain of command.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, including times, actions taken, and parties involved, and communicate relevant updates during shift change.
  • Provide directions and general assistance, de-escalate conflicts when possible, and elevate concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
  • Follow written post orders, comply with client and Allied Universal policies, and participate in required training, briefings, and drills.
