About The Position

As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an automotive location, you will conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a visible presence throughout the facility. You will interact with visitors and staff, provide outstanding customer service, and respond promptly to any security-related situations. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Loss prevention experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the auto facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity during patrols and report findings according to site protocols.
Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns specific to the auto industry location.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.
Assist with access control measures by observing entry and exit points during patrols to help to deter unauthorized access.
