About The Position
As a Security Officer - Tech Facility Patrol in Flat Rock, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting with access control, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR or first aid certification is preferred.
- Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help maintain a secure environment.
- Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site procedures.
- Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to support a secure and welcoming atmosphere at the location.
