Job Description As a Security Officer Armed in Hot Springs National Park, AR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage unwanted activity, and respond to incidents with professionalism. You will support access control, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering a caring, people-first experience. Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies, including participation in required qualifications and training.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or public law enforcement as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
Control access points by checking identification, monitoring visitor entry and exit, and documenting security-related activity in written and/or electronic reports.
