As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Level III Armed Certification for Texas is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns within the government environment.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information and guidance as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and emergency services as required.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as those specific to the government location.
