This position is for an Armed Security Officer in Milwaukee, WI, where the individual will serve and safeguard clients primarily in the Healthcare industry. It is a part-time role offering flexibility through a 'Claim a Shift' platform, allowing officers to build a schedule that suits them and explore new roles. As an armed officer in a healthcare setting, the role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents, and providing strong customer service and communication to staff, patients, and visitors. The team is described as agile, reliable, and innovative, emphasizing a people-first approach and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Serve in an armed post in accordance with Allied Universal standards, post orders, and applicable laws, maintaining readiness to respond to escalated situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, help to deter unauthorized entry, and support a professional environment through visible presence and clear communication.
