About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Morganfield, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with clinical staff, local law enforcement, and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials and/or visitor authorization, and documenting deliveries, contractors, and other authorized activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation; communicate observations and shift updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
