Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a dynamic utility location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support daily operations through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter zones, with attention to unusual activity and/or unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas and critical infrastructure.
  • Support site preparedness by following post orders, maintaining awareness of location conditions, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal personnel, employees, contractors, and/or public service partners.
