Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Transit Patrols in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to those on site.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and suspicious activities according to established protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed, following all applicable laws and regulations.
Perform access control duties and monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Adhere to all Allied Universal and client-specific policies, procedures, and training requirements, including those related to armed patrol duties.
