Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible throughout your assigned area, respond to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
Support access control procedures by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed in accordance with site protocols.
Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and/or members of the public at the location.
