About The Position
As a Security Officer – Armed Telecom Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required by the post profile.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior in a tech, media, and telecom environment.
- Complete detailed reports and logs related to security-related incidents, patrols, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
- Remain alert to potential threats or hazards and communicate concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal and/or client contacts.
