Requirements

Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience using handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help identify unusual activity and/or potential issues.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening processes, directional assistance, and enforcement of location rules and protocols.
Support staff and visitors during medical emergencies, behavioral events, and/or high-traffic periods by following post orders and communicating with supervisors and site contacts as needed.
