As an Armed Patrol Officer at an aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide professional customer service while documenting observations using a computer or tablet. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at entry points by verifying identification, authorizations, and delivery documentation, and by directing visitors and/or drivers to designated check-in areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol observations, incident documentation, and chain of custody notes for found property and/or recovered items.
