As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for employees and visitors. Requirements

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity.
Maintain a visible presence to assist with security-related needs and help to deter theft and/or other disruptive behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help identify and report suspicious activity.
Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and team members while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports as required by site-specific protocols.
Carry a firearm and maintain all necessary certifications in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal policies.
