About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Security Clearance Driver in Poway, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents. This armed and driving position involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

A minimum of one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the technology-focused location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the facility.
Report and document any suspicious activity, security-related breaches, or incidents according to Allied Universal protocols.
Assist with emergency evacuations and other urgent situations as directed by site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Collaborate with onsite personnel and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
