Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Armed Officer, you will monitor and patrol the educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication, working as part of a team that values integrity, reliability, and innovation while putting people first.

Requirements

Supervisory experience is required.
One or more of the following is required: one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or three or more years of security experience.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational campus and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and various areas throughout the location to help to deter suspicious or prohibited behavior.
Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences observed during patrols.
Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, local authorities, and campus staff as needed.
Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment responsibly, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on security-related procedures and emergency response protocols relevant to the educational environment.
