Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Patrol in Tacoma, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will support clients and visitors through strong customer service while partnering with teammates in a caring culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have 1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of the interior, exterior, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying potential hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, lobby areas, and restricted spaces, verifying authorization and assisting with visitor management in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as directed.
• Complete required reports and documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management, and support cash handling and alarm response protocols as assigned.
