About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Roving Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will be equipped to respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with disturbances, medical events, alarms, and requests for support from site staff.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, monitoring authorized movement, and checking for prohibited items in accordance with post orders and local requirements.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation, and communicate observed conditions and/or concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
