About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Rover Driver in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • Be at least 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a technology and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols at regular and random intervals throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and manage entry and exit for employees, contractors, and visitors, including verifying authorization and directing individuals to the appropriate destinations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating confrontations, requesting assistance as needed, and completing required notifications.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
