Requirements

Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

An armed guard card/license is preferred.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with supervisors and/or public agency contacts.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, permissions, and/or visitor activity in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, applicable laws, and site instructions while supporting security-related response activities.
