About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Route Patrol Driver in Renton, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location, where you will conduct routine armed patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas and complete detailed reports. Bring your integrity and teamwork to deliver reliable service in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1+ years' armed security/law enforcement/military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and documenting visitor and vehicle activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
