Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking lots, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and restricted spaces to help support loss prevention efforts, control access, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or unauthorized persons.
• Assist with de-escalation, crowd management, and customer assistance during busy periods, special events, openings, closings, and/or emergency situations while maintaining a visible armed presence.
