As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related issues. This driving post supports quick response across the property, strong customer service, and clear communication with shoppers, staff, and law enforcement as needed. Requirements

An armed guard card/license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor, entrances and exits, back-of-house areas, parking lots, and perimeter as assigned.
Help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity through visible presence, routine patrols, and timely reporting.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries according to site procedures.
Observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, potential policy violations, and/or hazards, and communicate concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical calls, and/or alarms, and request additional assistance when needed.
Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol documentation, using written and/or electronic systems as required.
Support store operations by providing directions, answering questions, assisting with lost and found, and helping manage lines and crowd flow during busy periods.
Perform access control checks and basic security-related inspections of doors, gates, emergency exits, and key areas during rounds.
Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions, standing and/or walking for extended periods based on location requirements.
