Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer supporting a retail location, where your primary responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, providing a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors at the retail location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed response.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or irregularities encountered during patrols or while on post.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to address questions, concerns, or incidents.
  • Maintain detailed records and write reports on incidents, patrols, and any security-related observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
