About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. This post requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your responsibilities. You will engage with staff and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication, while embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity to create a secure environment.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or incidents.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
Assist visitors, staff, and/or contractors by providing guidance and information as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required during incidents or emergencies at the location.
