Requirements

Possess an active and valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal security-related presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and surrounding areas for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to protocol.
Interact with visitors, employees, and vendors in a courteous and helpful manner while upholding site policies.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Follow protocols for escalation of incidents, working cooperatively with law enforcement or emergency services when appropriate.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to various situations that may arise within the retail environment.
