Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Response Patrol in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, and/or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while maintaining readiness for an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, documenting observations and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Support authorized personnel, visitors, and/or staff with directions, screening procedures, and incident information while following post orders and applicable use-of-force guidelines.
