About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Response Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying identification and/or authorization when required and helping to enforce site rules and post instructions.
• Carry authorized armed post equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site policies, and Allied Universal standards, using sound judgment during routine duties and incident response.
