About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Whiteville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor ingress and egress activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or prohibited items in accordance with post orders.
  • Support restricted-area control and movement procedures by maintaining a visible presence, following chain-of-command direction, and completing required reports, logs, and other post documentation.
