About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location supporting corrections operations as an armed, driving patrol officer. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and strong customer service. In a role built on integrity and teamwork, you will use an agile, reliable approach to support daily operations while putting people first.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by carrying out post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting and documenting security-related concerns per policy.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter checkpoints to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials as required, and/or screening for prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence, communicate with site personnel and emergency services as needed, and complete required logs, reports, and shift briefings.
