About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Pompano Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Have an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associates degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific policies, access control requirements, and security-related procedures at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate contacts and supporting emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other systems as assigned, documenting observations and reporting irregular conditions through established channels.
  • Complete reports and logs, maintain post orders, and communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives regarding daily activities and incident follow-up.
