About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Golden, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, you will perform mobile and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with professionalism and integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license, where you will support site operations through clear communication, detailed reporting, and teamwork aligned with Allied Universal’s caring culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A minimum of 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific policies, verifying identification and/or authorizations, and supporting access control at a utilities location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable licensing requirements, and post orders, including conducting required inspections and documenting status.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking gates, doors, and restricted spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, preserve observations and evidence as directed, and communicate updates to supervision and site stakeholders.
