Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the residential property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address any observed concerns.
Maintain awareness of the environment to help to deter security-related incidents within the residential community.
Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding incidents, concerns, and/or observed irregularities.
Follow all site-specific protocols for access control, visitor management, and emergency procedures.
Complete required incident and daily activity reports accurately and in a timely manner.
