Security Officer - Armed Residential patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Commercial Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents in a commercial real estate location. This position requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will primarily be driving while on duty. You will also deliver outstanding customer service and communication, upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.
Requirements
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor the premises for unusual or suspicious activity and report findings according to site protocols.
- Interact with property tenants, visitors, and/or employees in a professional manner while performing patrol duties.
- Assist local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
- Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal policies and client site requirements.
- Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to help to deter potential security-related threats.
