As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and professionalism will create a welcoming environment while you deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post, so you will be responsible for maintaining a secure atmosphere while upholding our core values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry into the residential location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
Work collaboratively with residents, property management, and Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following location-specific guidelines.
