Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Columbus, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and support site teams with a service-focused approach. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, access restrictions, and notifications as directed by site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, manufacturing and office areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
Control access by checking identification, authorizations, and visitor logs, and by directing employees, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
