You will conduct routine patrols of building exteriors and interiors, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm, clear communication. You will deliver customer-focused assistance to tenants and visitors while documenting observations and following post orders with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with property management and/or local emergency services as needed.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site policies.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written and/or electronic logs, and communicate significant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
