About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a high-visibility presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service calls. You will greet tenants and visitors, communicate clearly with property teams, and document security-related activity. Bring agility, reliability, and integrity while supporting a caring, people-first culture through teamwork.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out assigned post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or criminal activity.
• Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and public responders as needed.
• Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, monitoring visitor flow, and maintaining awareness of restricted areas.
• Complete timely incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate significant activity to supervision per site protocol.
