Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Tempe, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an armed patrol officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and badge procedures. You will respond to issues with clear communication and customer service while partnering with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. Requirements

• Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be 21+ Years of Age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and reporting requirements at a government location.
• Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and all applicable laws and licensing requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, initiating emergency response activities as required and requesting public agency support when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to discourage unauthorized activity and identify security-related hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Complete timely documentation of patrols, incidents, and/or unusual activity, and communicate observations and recommendations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
