As a Security Officer - Armed Response Driver in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an armed patrol officer at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post, so you will use a vehicle to cover assigned areas and support operations as needed. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Carry and operate authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and coordinating with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes, with working environments and conditions varying by post assignment.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity reports, and communicate notable observations to site leadership and/or dispatch.
