About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This is an armed and driving role, where you will interact with clients and visitors, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to security-related situations with professionalism. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is required.
A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the financial institution to help to deter unwanted activity.
Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or customers, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the location.
Work in varying environments and conditions based on the needs of the financial institution.
