About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

A current armed guard card or license is required.
A minimum of 3 years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response actions at an aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and support compliance with site rules for restricted materials, controlled areas, and other sensitive operations.
Maintain readiness of assigned post equipment and complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site-specific expectations.
