Requirements
- Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, transit areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document security-related events, observations, and/or incidents in accordance with site expectations.
- Work closely with local law enforcement, site contacts, and Allied Universal leadership when needed to report concerns, relay information, and support security-related response efforts.
