Requirements

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with local contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, entrances, employee areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor for suspicious behavior, unattended items, trespassing, and/or access control concerns, and report security-related issues according to post orders and site protocols.
Carry and maintain authorized armed post equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines and site requirements, while remaining prepared to respond to security-related concerns and/or requests for assistance.
