Requirements
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may call for an armed presence within post guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required, and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and/or observations in required reports, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel when appropriate.
