As an Armed Patrol Officer at a high-traffic retail location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, incidents, and customer needs with calm, clear communication. This role requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. You will represent Allied Universal with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative, people-first approach.

Requirements

• Have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or have 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, observe customer and employee activity, and document unusual activity to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain required armed post documentation, and communicate significant events to onsite management and Allied Universal leadership.
