About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with tenants and visitors, report concerns, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years’ armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unwanted activity and identifying maintenance or property concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner; assist with de-escalation and request law enforcement and/or medical support when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization as required by post orders and property management direction.
  • Document patrols, observations, and incidents in daily activity logs and reports; communicate significant updates promptly to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
